Dawn patrol showed up to surf today, and found nothing. Wrong break, little to no swell, makes everyone stand on the beach and talk about whether or not anyone wants to go out. My friend John also brought his sea kayaks, so we went for a morning paddle instead. Paddling on the ocean might be one of the more serene things you can do. The ocean, the quietness, the aquatic life you see... The quietness. If you've never gone, try it some time. Tons of jellyfish in the water today. Big, small, long tentacles, short ones... They were beautiful though. Just doing their thing, floating around. So we kayaked, then came back to find another of my friends in the water with his board. I decided to get in. After about 15 minutes I paddled into a small wave, got a nice little ride, then decided to call it a day. Go out with a good one. My friend John decided to grab his board and get in. Says there's an unwritten rule that says if a guy catches a wave then leaves, there's bound to be a few good ones to follow... We'll see. I now return home to treat myself to a pack of Bella's Cookies. Figure a pack of organic cookies is worth the effort.
