As another Labor Day approaches I am reminded of two... no three things. 1) Summer is almost over. Labor Day kind of officially marks the end of the summer season. Not to worry... at the beach there is always something to do. September has still many fun activities at the beach, October has Sea Witch Festival & Apple Scrapple in Bridgeville, November has Punkin Chunkin, the Rehoboth Film Festival, and then Holiday Season shopping is upon us. I saw an interesting stat today that showed OC MD's weekend visitors as compared to Rehoboth and Dewey's. In the month of July and August, OC packs them in... of course the DE Beaches do too, but what was so amazing to me... was the steady level of tourism that continually comes into the DE Beaches through Sept and Oct as compared to OC, where it virtually drops off. I'm getting away from my post...
2) Labor Day marks another birth day... I hit the big 36 this year. 36 Wow. Am I really 36? Some times I feel 36... but mostly I feel 28... no maybe 30. Alright, 32. :)
3) Kids start school next week. It's over... no more summer vacation. Time to get up early, and get to school... drop offs - pick ups - I am not looking forward to that. But then again... with the start of the new school year, I start spending more time in Dover DE. A new position and new territory for me to explore. So... here's a pack of Bella's Cookies for the End of Summer. PS - I'll take the new natural and organic Key Lime White Chocolates... "sublime".
